Resinoid Engineering
Resinoid Engineering Corporation is a combination of two unified manufacturing divisions; both have their own specialized processes, products, and services that supply a broad range of customers. Both divisions closely interact within the corporation ensuring our products are used to the best of their abilities. This internal relationship begins with our material division acting as a key supplier of phenolic molding compounds to our custom molding division, with this internal supply chain allowing a free flow of information and technologies. This enables Resinoid to tie together and manage the complex relationships from phenolic compound raw goods, compounding of phenolics, mold design and molding, post curing of the moldings, and final machining of the molded product. This integration of processes, combined with each divisions expertise, offers all of Resinoid's customers the best quality, delivery, and service of product possible. At Resinoid Engineering our quality is truly reflected in the performance of our products.

History
Resinoid was founded by Clarence A. Herbst Sr. (1900 to 1989). Mr. Herbst was a chemical engineer who designed and formulated phenolics in the early age of plastics; this creativity led to starting two small companies in the late 1920's and early 1930's. Resinoid grew out of these ventures and was incorporated in 1939. Molding of his plastics was added to the business almost immediately and as a result the company grew. Applications for these high tech phenolics were found in commutators and various custom moldings. This pattern of design to application continued into what Resinoid is today. The ownership and management of the company has continued within Mr. Herbst's family and the company in now in its third generation of ownership, lending consistency to proven principles throughout the years.
Custom Molding Division
Whether your requirements call for injection, compression or transfer molding we are ready to respond to your needs. Resinoid is experienced at engineered parts, processes and moldings that often require high performance at their end use points. High quality compounds, mold designs and moldings yield the best results for end-field application performance.
Additional capabilities include "Secondary" processes to molded parts, including: drilling - tapping - grinding, machining to shape, curing, partial assemblies, etc.
Phenolic Material Division
Resinoid phenolic molding compounds are fulfilling requirements where continuous use temperatures of 400°F and higher are becoming mandatory. These compounds can be injection, transfer, or compression molded. The resulting products exhibit; heat and impact resistance, dimensional stability, very low creep or cold flow under load - even at elevated temperatures.
Glass reinforced and organic/chopped fabric reinforced molding compounds are our specialty with addition products and services available. Featuring: preforming, custom mixing, custom formulations and compound, use-molding guidance.
Industries
Resinoid manufactures for the aftermarket automotive industry as a worldwide supplier. Resinoid also produces products for a wide variety of non-automotive industries, such as appliances, electrical components, power tools, aerospace, oil and gas, housing material and other applications.
